Summer is here!

Hello everyone!
Well, summer is here! It seemed so far away just a few weeks ago, didn't it?
I hope you have enjoyed this year at school and I also hope that you have learnt and improved your English.
I have a new link for you, just in case you want to go on practising your English in the summer, which I strongly recommend you to do. It 's from the BBC. I hope it will be useful for you.

I'm afraid I won't be able to have dinner with you on Monday. Have a wonderful time!

See you and good luck in everything you do in life!

Best wishes,

Aurora

Lego artist

Hello everyone!
How are things going? Well, I've been watching the Voice of America Link in our blog and I've found a very interesting video. It's about being an artist using Lego bricks. I think you'll like it too. Have a look at it and give me your opinion about language, levels of difficulty and topic. It's subtitled so well, a bit easier to understand.
Click on the Voice of America (voa) link and then, click on Captioned Videos (on the right side of the screen). It's called General Interest.
You have until 17th May to write your comments.
Have a nice week!

Competitions at school

Is anyone in the class taking part in the school football competition either playing, organising or even watching the matches? I'd like to know about it. I think we could use this section to inform the class about something which is going on at school. You could write about the results, the matches, the winners and so on.
Thank you for your cooperation.

Welcome to school again!

Hello everybody!
I haven't disappeared form our great blog. I'm back with new ideas and topics to help with your English. I know about your Easter holidays because you told me in class. We all needed a break. I wish you the best for the last term. Time flies!

Well, there's a new link in the blog. It's The Voice of America. It includes all aspects of English, specially listening tasks. You can read and listen at the same time. The topics you'll find are current and interesting, I think. It's very useful for English students. There are all kinds of topics and news.

Next task: Let me know your opinion about it. Introduce comments on The Voice of America, what you liked most, what you found more useful, what you found easier and more difficult, and why. You have until Friday, 23rd April to write your opinion.

I hope you keep on using it along time.

Thank you
Aurora

A new link in the blog

Has any of you had a look at the links we have? They may be quite useful and they are for you to consult. There's a new one. If you want to know about the weather in any place, well you can watch and listen. This may turn useful when you are planning to go somewhere and want to know about the weather so that you take the right clothes, for exemple. Have a look at it and tell me your opinion, ok?

By the way, I remind you of coming exams:
Friday, 12th: listening
Monday, 15th: grammar and vocabulary

See you in class
Aurora

More about books!

Hello, this new topic is not to make any comment here. I just wanted to remind you that you can give more opinions and recommendations of books you've read or heard of. Please feel free to make any comment on this in the section we have already opened whenever you want. The section is there for you to contribute and make it alive. There are some interesting comments there.
Thank you

Tell the class about yourself

Good morning everyone!

Time to move on. For the next activity you have to use what you have learnt in Unit 6. Tell the class about yourself. Use time expressions (for, since, during, ago...) and present perfect or simple past. Write at least 6 sentences. For example, I was born in ...., I've lived in ......, or I've known.....

Your comments have to be published by Tuesday, 9th.
Remember to write your name.
Thank you.
